- Trains and supervises assigned professional accounting staff.
- Evaluates performance of subordinates for annual review and merit increase.
- Reviews trial balances, cash and investment reports, and bank reconciliations.
- Reviews debt service payment requirements for cash availability and budget appropriations.
- Maintains chart of accounts in accordance with guidelines promulgated by the State Comptroller's Office.
- Prepares and/or supervises preparation of financial statements, reports and fiscal analyses and reconciliations.
- Develops and revises accounting procedures as assigned.
- Analyzes and recommends budget amendments and transfers as required.
- Works with internal and external auditors in assigned areas of responsibility.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
