Full Job Description
School Bus Transportation Company in Orange County is looking for a Compliance Manager to oversee the compliance of drivers and monitors. The Compliance Manager position is a critical role in the overall success of the Orange County School Bus Transportation Company Compliance Department. Starting salary of $62,500 (May be commensurate based on experience).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the department of 19-A Examiners and SBDI’s (School Bus Driver Instructors)
- Ensuring and maintaining 19-A/SED Files are current and up to date
- Schedule and administer 19-A/SED testing for employees as needed
- Facilitation of Safety Meetings and/or Safety related classes
- Training of new and existing staff on safe driving protocols
- Investigate, address, and document all safety violations; administer re-training if necessary
- Coordinate and interact with drivers, dispatchers, and safety department to ensure full 19-A/SED and FMCSA DOT compliance
- Liaison between School District and Company
- Ability to work with Management to identify and effectively implement processes for improvement
- May be required to drive as needed
- May need to respond to accidents and incidents
QUALIFICATIONS
- 19-A Examiner Certification and SBDI Certifications required
- Valid, clean Class B driver's license with a P and S endorsements
- 2 years’ experience in the 19-A field
- Detailed oriented and good at prioritizing and scheduling
- Must be able to work independently, be proactive, and be a self-starter
- Excellent computer and technology skills including Microsoft Office suite
- Must be able to work flexible hours
- Must have School Bus experience
- Must be willing to travel to other locations as needed
