What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Assistant position at Orchard Mesa Dental?
We are seeking a Friday-only Dental Assistant that is hard-working and motivated with a positive attitude to help us treat our patients with high-quality care. Our current team members work hard and really enjoy the culture of the practice. Experience is preferred, but not required. We want to help you grow professionally as we continue to grow as a team.
Requirements:
- Registered Dental Assistant (preferred)
- X-ray Certification (preferred)
- A positive, upbeat personality
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients to be seen by our dentists
- Maintain a sterile work environment according to OSHA standards by sterilizing dental instruments and sanitizing operatories after patient use
- Set up instrument trays, treatment materials, and assist in dental procedures
- Fabricate temporary crowns and bridges
- Obtain impressions, pour up, and trim study models
- Assist our dentists with IV sedation procedures
- Take X-rays of patients’ teeth
- Collect, record, and maintain the dental health records of our patients
- Collect, record, and maintain the dental treatment records of our patients
- Provide patients with information on dental hygiene and oral health
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
