Quality Assurance Technician Trainee
Have you ever wondered how the food you buy is processed? Are you looking for a career in Quality Assurance? National Frozen Foods Corporation is excited to announce openings in our Quality Assurance Department at our packaging facility.
Shift: Rotating shifts (day and swing shifts, 4-month rotations) – availability required for day and evening shifts, overtime (as requested), some holidays, and weekends
Pay: Starting at $18.50/hour
Benefits: Permanent, fulltime position benefits include medical, dental, and vision on the first of the month following 60 days of employment. Upon qualifying, eligible for paid vacation, 10 paid holidays, jury duty, bereavement leave, 401k matching, Life and Long-term Disability Insurance. Employee Assistance Program and paid sick leave are available from the start of employment.
Areas you’ll learn about include, but are not limited to:
- Weight verifications
- Coding verifications
- Packaging verifications
- Product grading
- Metal Detection verifications
- Lot tracking and verification
- Inbound product inspections
- Sample preparation for micro testing and customer requests
- Quality & Food Safety inspections
- Local & Federal requirements for producing safe food
Skills and Qualifications
- Possess a very strong attendance mindset
- Available to work a variety of shifts (The initial training period is 120 days and will be conducted primarily on day shift)
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing setting
- Strong willingness to learn new skills
- Possess a good attitude
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to multitask as well as manage changing priorities
