Our Business Operations department encompasses new patient coordination, scheduling, service line coordinators and prior authorization. These teams are crucial to our mission because they expedite the behind-the-scenes processes that get our patients quickly to the next appropriate step in their care and ease their burden.

The Business Operations Manager is key to our success at OSG because the leadership oversight provided to teams significantly impacts staff success and therefore ultimately creates a positive experience for the patients we serve.

Essential Job Functions

Leadership

  • Provide day-to-day leadership for new patient coordinators, service line coordinators, prior authorization and scheduling.
  • Provide feedback, coaching, work outcomes, and professional development through consistently holding one-on-one meetings with direct reports.
  • Ensure their team has the tools, knowledge, and work environment to succeed in their job duties.
  • Support direct reports in their supervisory and front-line capacities.
  • Interview, hire, and train an effective, efficient workforce in alignment with OSG cultural norms.
  • Collaborate with direct reports to support compliance and business support functions and projects.
  • Develop and perform audits to ensure quality and compliance
  • Collaborates with leadership & stakeholders as needed.

Operations

  • Coordinate day-to-day operations of new patient coordinators, service line coordinators, prior authorization and scheduling.
  • Design and support workflows to support excellent customer service to patients, clinicians, and peers.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain office policies and procedures relating to operational workflows.
  • Collaborates with leaders and stakeholders when escalations arise.
  • Ensure patients satisfaction, including troubleshooting when there is a complaint and developing process improvements to prevent recurrences.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, labor laws, and other federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Ensure staffing is appropriate for day-to-day operations and collaborate with other site leadership for shared staffing needs.
  • Develops KPI’s for teams and works towards creating efficient, patient first outcomes.

Required Qualifications

  • A. / B.S. in Health Sciences, Social Work, Nursing or equivalent
  • Excellent critical thinker
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure and with tight deadlines
  • Exception communication skills, both verbally and in writing, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently, make judgments and problem solve as needed.
  • Experience with administrative processes such as prior authorization, scheduling, patient care coordination, etc.
  • Understand regulatory compliance
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well across various business and clinical teams.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills with proficiency in computers, especially Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years in healthcare business setting
  • S. in Health Science, Social Work or equivalent preferred
