We are currently seeking a highly motivated, knowledgeable with tools, and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Stock Clerk/Customer Service Representative at our retail tool store. As a stock clerk, you will play a critical role in maintaining inventory levels and ensuring the smooth operation of the store. In addition, you will provide exceptional customer service to our valued customers, helping them find the tools and equipment they need for their projects.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming shipments of tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Stock shelves, racks, and displays with new merchandise.
- Ensure accurate labeling, pricing, and signage of products.
- Monitor inventory levels and perform regular stock replenishment.
- Conduct periodic inventory counts and assist with inventory management.
- Assist customers in locating products and provide recommendations based on their needs.
- Answer customer inquiries and provide product information.
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system.
- Handle customer complaints or concerns with professionalism and a problem-solving mindset.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the sales floor and backroom areas.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve sales targets and store objectives.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service role preferred.
- Knowledge of tools and equipment commonly used in construction, woodworking, metal working, or automotive industries is a must.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory and transactions.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy items, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.

From your previous jobs, you should have used a wide variety of tools and have the ability to advise customers. Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
