Position Summary/Objective

We seek an individual who wants to be a part of our passion to make great cannabis products that people enjoy. We are looking for the right person to join our Portland, CT production team in the role of custodian.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Maintains cleanliness and order in the building and on the property.
• Daily sweeping, mopping, and sanitization of cGMP cannabis cultivation and processing facility.
• Performs routine maintenance activities in cultivation rooms, hallways and processing rooms as directed.
• Performs heavy cleaning duties after harvests in flower rooms and dry rooms.
• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, or vacuums floors.
• Gathers and empties trash, cardboard, and green waste.
• Ensures that restrooms are cleaned, sanitized, and stocked.
• Provides a clean and sanitized environment including ceilings, walls, floors, and baseboards. Cleans and sanitizes equipment, implements, etc. Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing dehumidifiers, hvac registers and grills, and replaces filters according to schedule.
• Cleans and maintains windows, mirrors, and glass doors.
• Mixes cleaning solutions and chemicals in containers in preparation for cleaning, according to instructions.
• Manages inventory of cleaning supplies, PPE, and paper products.
• Cleans transport vehicles including driving the vehicle to the car wash, vacuuming interior, cleaning windows, etc.
• Notifies managers regarding the need for repairs or additions to building operating systems.

Qualifications

Skills/Competencies required

• Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and procedures.
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend as needed to perform job duties over the 8-hour shift.
• Ability to perform repetitive motion for long periods of time when needed.
• Experience with cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, floor scrubber, and cleaning solutions.
• Background in handling, mixing, and using cleaning chemicals.
• Knowledge of occupational hazards safety rules.
• Good communication skills. Must document daily cleaning and sanitization activities in logbooks.
• Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders and work at particular heights when needed.

Other Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older to apply.
• Must meet legal and company requirements for working in the cannabis industry.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work
• Must be willing and available to work at least 40 hours a week.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 55 pounds.
• Must submit to a criminal background check per Department of Consumer Protection requirements.

Additional Information
This is a full-time position at our cultivation and manufacturing facility located in Portland, CT.
