Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Serve food and beverages to customers
- Handle cash transactions using a cash register
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas
- Assist in bussing tables and resetting them for the next guests
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Uphold high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the food industry is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle various customer personalities
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and making change
- Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems is a plus
- Sales skills to upsell menu items and promote specials
- Experience bussing tables in a restaurant setting is beneficial
- Knowledge of grocery store operations can be advantageous
- Proficiency in cash handling procedures
This position requires a food safety and Handler Certification to be completed within the probationary period.
