Primary Purpose:The Construction Manager works closely with the Project Managers to manage all on-site constructionactivities including pre-construction, execution, and project closeout. They will work closely with thecustomers and subcontractors to ensure a completed scope of work that meets contract requirements.They will be responsible for budgeting, organizing, and scheduling of one or more projects at any givenpoint in time.Job Responsibilities: Percentage of time:Own all field-related project components including: scope implementation, budgeting, scheduling, and quality control following all applicable state/federal laws, NFPA, NEC and customer requirementsReview the project in depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costNegotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts, and change order forms (25%)Oversee and direct subcontractors on construction projects from implementation to completionOverall all on-site construction to ensure compliance with electrical and safety regulationsManage material and track inventory (25%)Communicate regularly with leadership to provide required status updatesUtilize Construction Services core procedures for daily and weekly reporting while maintaining project as-builtsPrepare internal and external reports for each project (25%)Anticipate potential problems by analyzing and mitigating risksEnsure quality construction standard and the use of proper construction techniques (25%)* Essential functions necessary for this positionExperience and Qualifications:• Associates’ degree in Construction Management or related majors• One (1) to Three (3) years of experience in construction, electrical, planning, design, relationship management• Advanced knowledge of Construction Management processes, means and methods• Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, relevant rules/regulations, and quality standards• Familiarity with construction management software packages• Ability to plan and see the “big picture”• Competent in conflict and crisis management• Leadership and human resources management skills• Excellent time and project management skills• Experience with Microsoft programs including Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word• PMP, OSHA 30, EM-385 1-1, QCM and First Aid CPR Certifications are a plusAmount of contact with others:Frequent contact with individuals outside the office including vendors and customersWork Schedule:Project DependentTravel Expectations:Approximately 90% travel locally/regionally Working Conditions:Never = 0% / Occasionally = 1-32% / Frequently = 33-65% / Constantly = 66-100%A.
