Mechanic
Location: Midland, TX

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mid-Level Mechanic with electrical expertise to join our team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of vehicles and machinery, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical and electrical systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in both traditional mechanical repairs and electrical diagnostics, ensuring optimal performance of equipment and vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostics and repair of mechanical and electrical systems in a variety of equipment and vehicles.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems, including wiring, sensors, and control modules.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on vehicles and machinery.
- Replace and repair defective parts, components, and systems (mechanical and electrical).
- Perform electrical repairs, including battery replacements, alternator and starter diagnostics, wiring issues, and fuse problems.
- Use diagnostic tools, multimeters, and scanners to identify issues and ensure accurate troubleshooting.
- Maintain detailed records of all repairs and maintenance performed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure safe and efficient work practices.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Stay current on the latest mechanical and electrical technologies and repair techniques.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Completion of formal training or apprenticeship in mechanics and electrical systems.
- At least 3-5 years of experience as a mechanic with a focus on electrical systems.
- Strong diagnostic skills and experience using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Familiarity with wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and mechanical blueprints.
- Proficiency in repairing and maintaining various mechanical systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification or similar industry certifications.
- Experience with hybrid/electric vehicle systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of industry-specific tools and software.
