Clinical Technician 1
Orleans Community Health is seeking a Clinical Technician 1 to join our Health Care Team at Medina Memorial Hospital’s Albion Clinic. As a Clinical Technician 1, you are a non-licensed health care provider who, under the direction and supervision of a licensed health care provider, delivers direct and indirect patient care. You play an integral role in maintaining patient well-being, and contribute to the success of patients, physicians and licensed health care providers. Shift and Status
Per Diem, 3 Shifts Per Month Requirement
$Up To Thirty-three Dollars per hour extra for shift pick-ups!
Position Summary
The Clinical Technician 1 is responsible for assisting with the administration of direct patient care and related duties including some technical skills such as electrocardiograms (EKGs), vital signs monitoring and assisting with various procedures under the direct supervision of the Provider. The Clinical Technician 1 works with all patient populations such as pediatric, childbearing, adult and geriatric.
Requirements
Previous Office/Clinic experience preferred.
Medical Assistant Certification Or Medical Assistant Experience Preferred.
High school graduate or GED diploma.
CPR/BLS maintained annually.
Strong customer service, computer, and communication skills.
Job Functions
Responsible for taking patient history and obtain vital signs.
Perform basic testing or screenings such as: vision, audio, urine drug screens, breath alcohol, EKGs, pulmonary function testing.
Assist with obtaining prior-authorization for procedures and medications.
Obtains patient records relevant to services being referred for.
Answer incoming calls and make outgoing calls.
Maintain confidentiality with all patient information (HIPAA).
Ensures equipment is in working order.
Maintains examination rooms and stocks necessary medical supplies.
Performs duties to ensure good patient flow.
