Purpose of the Position: |
|
To procure necessary materials, equipment, or supplies as needed to support all departments |
|
Position Responsibilities and Duties: |
|
|
1. |
Develop an effective and accurate system for monitoring purchase orders |
|
2. |
Create, monitor, and maintain purchase orders |
|
3. |
Coordinate all import/export shipments and documentation |
|
4. |
Work closely with the PC group to properly plan material usage |
|
5. |
Work closely with the PM group to properly plan new program launches |
|
6. |
Conduct physical inventory counts as required |
|
7. |
Work with the Management team to ensure deliveries satisfy work order requirements and report any delays |
|
8. |
Drive increased profitability by finding and developing suppliers, reducing costs, improving lead times |
|
9. |
All other projects or duties as required |
|
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: |
|

1. |
Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills |
|
2. |
Strong written and communication skills |
|
3. |
Working knowledge of Word and Outlook. Strong Excel skills required |
|
4. |
Ability to read, write and speak English |
|
5. |
Ability to multi-task and prioritize work load |

Excellent time management and organizational skills |

Detailed and analytical approach to tasks |

Education and Experience: |
|
|
1. |
Associate degree or equivalent experience |
|
2. |
Previous purchasing experience required |
|
3. |
Previous import/export experience preferred |
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for 8 plus hours daily at a desk and enter data
Working Conditions
Standard office environment. Occasional plant floor visits to climate-controlled plant floor, noisy machinery.
Personal Protective Equipment Required
Safety glasses at all times, safety gloves, non-slip work shoes, ear plugs as necessary on the plant floor
