Position Overview:
- Complete medical records accurately and in accordance with center policy.
- Conduct chart audits accurately and efficiently as time permits.
- Prepare clinical areas for the next day by ensuring emergency supplies and equipment are checked and ready.
- Restock clinical areas and identify any supplies that need reordering to maintain readiness for patient care.
- Administer medications safely, following policies, procedures, and DEA regulations.
- Assess and manage patients' post-operative pain levels, administering medications as per physician orders.
- Assist with wound dressings and provide appropriate post-operative care to ensure proper healing.
- Ensure all patient consents are signed by the patient, physician, and nurse before procedures.
- Explain procedures and post-operative care instructions to patients clearly and effectively.
- Coordinate patient care with family caregivers, physicians, and other healthcare team members to ensure smooth transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Perform treatments or orders within the scope of nursing practice.
- Administer IVs, IV medications, and assess vital signs, safety needs, and pain levels.
- Conduct pre-op and post-op follow-up calls to patients to ensure continuity of care and address any concerns.

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Equivalent to a four-year college degree in nursing or related field.
- 12 to 18 months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Active RN License.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.

Preferred Certifications:
- CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room) certification preferred.
- BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) preferred.
- Basic proficiency in alphanumeric data entry, word processing, and typing for maintaining patient records and clinical documentation.
- Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with patients, families, and the surgical team.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-stress environment while maintaining attention to detail.
