We are currently searching for a Part Time Patient Services Specialist to work with our OrthoCarolina Gastonia Orthopedic Urgent Care team. This position will be scheduled for 3-4 shift per week. Shifts may be Monday-Friday, 5:30pm-9:00pm and/or Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Under general supervision and according to prescribed procedures, the Patient Services Specialist greets patients, prepares forms, collects, verifies and enters patient information into EPIC necessary for the timely and accurate processing of patient claims. Prepares paperwork necessary for the patient visit. Answers incoming phone calls and directs calls, makes appointments, performs Cashier duties as directed including posting of charges, Collection of co-payments/co-insurance and balances due. Follows the process for release of medical information and FMLA/disability forms completion as requested.
