What are the responsibilities and job description for the MRI Technologist (Per Diem) position at Orthopaedic Specialty Group?
Educational Requirements:
- Associate Degree or equivalent 2- year college or technical school.
- ARRT (R) required.
- ARRT (R)(MRI) preferred.
- Perform MRI procedures as ordered with a high level of quality, care and timeliness.
- Escort patients to dressing rooms and procedure room.
- Explain MRI procedures and answer any questions or concerns.
- Maintain and follow all MRI safety guidelines.
- Complete related paperwork.
- Administer I.V. contrast.
- Conduct Quality Control when needed, monitor machine and equipment reporting any malfunctions to site supervisor/manager.
- Assist Radiologist with Arthrogram procedure.
- Assist in keeping the scan room clean and stocked.
- Maintains patient confidentiality; complies with HIPAA and compliance guidelines established by the practice.
- Maintains detailed knowledge of practice management and other computer software as it relates to job functions.
- Attends regular staff meetings and continuing education sessions as requested.
Salary : $38 - $45
