About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Process EDD (Employment Development Department) requests and documentation
- Manage medication refill authorizations and coordination with healthcare providers
- Handle incoming and outgoing faxes with accuracy and confidentiality
- Scan and organize legal documents including subpoenas and court orders
- Maintain comprehensive patient medical records and filing systems
- Ensure HIPAA compliance in all record-keeping activities
- Coordinate with insurance companies and other healthcare facilities
- Assist with patient inquiries regarding medical records requests
- Support administrative staff with additional clerical duties as needed
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a medical records clerk or similar healthcare administrative role
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and documentation procedures
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality requirements
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and professional demeanor
- Computer proficiency including scanning, faxing, and database management
- Bilingual - Spanish (preferred)
