Starting pay for this position is $24.20/hour; base pay offered may increase based on experience, skills and internal equity.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) assists the Ophthalmologist in the testing and diagnostic evaluation of patients with ocular complaints and disorders. The COT does measurements and tests that provide the physician with the information needed to arrive at a diagnosis for treatment.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School/GED
Other Licenses/Certifications: Obtain Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) Certification through the IJCAHPO within 2 years of hire date.
Experience: At least 2 years experience in an Ophthalmology practice.
Other skills/knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Other requirements/information: BLS - American Heart Association
Certified Ophthalmic Medical Assistant
