Starting pay for this position is $25.65/hour; base pay offered may increase based on experience, skills and internal equity.
POSITION SUMMARY:
A Clinical Dietitian is an expert in human nutrition and medical nutrition therapy. The Clinical Dietitian assesses nutritional status of patients based on their individualized needs and goals and develops and implements corresponding nutrition care plans. The role of the Clinical Dietitian is to evaluate current nutrition status, formulate interventions, reassess for changes and record ongoing nutritional progress. The Clinical Dietitian is an integral member of the interdisciplinary team, and helping patients and their support system to ensure patient-centered care is achieved.
This position will work three days per week in Ottawa at OSF St. Elizabeth and two days per week in Mendota at OSF St. Paul. There could be the potential to travel between the two facilities within the same day if needed.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Food Science or Nutrition
- Credentialed Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian eligible through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (Illinois and Michigan) or must become registered within 6 months of hire.
- Basic Microsoft application proficiency
Experience:
- Previous experience with patients in a group or individual setting
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and medical billing
Licensure/Certifications:
- Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist eligible (Illinois)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Licensure/Certifications:
- License Certified diabetes educator
Other skills/knowledge:
- 1 year experience working with patients in a group or individual setting
