Expected pay for this position is $47.53 - $62.20/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Electrophysiology (EP) Coordinator assists physicians in scheduling, diagnosing, and treating cardiac disease, specializing in the care of patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, specifically cardiac electrophysiology studies. Facilitates EP cases, coordinates resources, maintains inventory of and orders EP supplies. Develops policies and procedures for EP studies and devices used for rhythm resynchronization interventions. The EP Coordinator oversees the development and implementation of the EP Program.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Associate degree in nursing or graduate of AMA (American Medical Association Approved School in Radiography
Experience:
- 5 years of experience as an ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or Registered Nurse in general cardiac angiography and electrophysiology or invasive radiology with exposure to electrophysiology.
Licensure/ Certification:
- Nuclear Medicine License OR
- Reg Nurse License Radiology Registration
- American Heart Association BLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) infant through adult Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) within 5 years of hire
Other Skills/ Knowledge:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing Bachelors' degree in Allied Health or related field
Experience:
- 5 years' experience in electrophysiology
