Expected pay for this position is $37.14 - $43.70/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Electrophysiology Technologist contributes to quality patient care by preparing for, operating equipment and assisting the electrophysiologist during various invasive Electrophysiology procedures. Assists in diagnosing and treating cardiac arrhythmias, specializing in the care of patients undergoing EP studies, device implants, and ablations. Assists physician during invasive and noninvasive procedures. Operates all EP and complex radiology equipment safely and correctly, in accordance with established techniques and routines. The EP Tech demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served while always following established guidelines for radiation safety. The EP Tech operates the physiologic monitor to record functions of the cardiovascular and pulmonary systems of patients during electrophysiology diagnostic and electrophysiology procedures.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- On the job training
- BLS - American Heart Association
Experience:
- 3 years of progressively more responsible related work experience in a clinical healthcare setting and demonstrated proficiencies in delivering patient care.
Other skills/knowledge:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
