What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gig APN OnCall Urgnt Care position at OSF HealthCare?
POSITION SUMMARY: The Gig Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) works in accordance with professional standards of care and adheres to the corporate philosophy of OSF HealthCare. The Gig APN shall be responsible for providing high quality patient care to the patients of OSF OnCall Urgent Care. As a Gig APN, they control their own flexibility of preferred shifts/locations and create a schedule that work for them, on their time. There is no minimum number of hours needed to work but it is limited to less than 30 hours per week. They are responsible for maintaining the consistency and quality of all services provided, and maintaining full and current patient medical records, including reports of all examinations, procedures, and other services performed by the provider or other support staff. Also, exercising diligence in assisting the OSF CEO in keeping costs of the practice to a minimum, while maintaining a high level of quality care for patients and providing a truly personalized, patient-centric experience to all patients of OSF OnCall Urgent Care.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Master of Science in Nursing or Master of Physician Assistant Studies Experience: Previous experience as APN in ED, urgent care, primary care Licenses/Certifications: APN-Advanced Practice RN BLS Other Skills/Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: Experience as APN Other Skills/Knowledge: May be required to float between clinics as needed
