POSITION SUMMARY: Lead Surgery Support Specialist is responsible for leading & overseeing activities of Surgery Support Specialists and Anesthesia Support Specialists, providing a safe environment within a facility achieved by a reduction of microorganisms, for the benefit of patients, visitors, and employees. While executing the assigned tasks, the Lead Surgery Support Specialist will have contact with patients and their family/loved ones. Contact may include physical, psychological, educational, and safety related and should be appropriate to the specific demographics of patients served in assigned service areas. Coordinates staffing in both OR locations in order to help with overall OR flow and turnover rate
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- High School/GED
Other Licenses/Certifications:
- CPR – American Heart Association Experience: 1 year working in healthcare setting
Other skills/knowledge:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience:
- 1 year of Surgery Support or Anesthesia Support Lead or Environmental Services Experience Completion of medical terminology class
