We're seeking a Manufacturing Intern to join us throughout the summer and into the 2024-2025 school year. Our manufacturing team is dedicated to crafting top-notch cutting tools. As a Manufacturing Intern, you'll primarily support production floor operations and coating processes, with opportunities to engage with our engineering and shipping departments. Job Responsibilities
- Follows all factory procedures regarding safety, production, and quality
- Loads tool blanks in the machine
- Load and unload the completed carousel from the coating machine.
- Cleans machine, tooling, parts, and work area
- Demonstrate commitment to company values, a strong sense of cooperation, and a willingness to work in a team environment.
- Receives exposure to the engineering and shipping departments.
- Some High School experience
- Basic knowledge of computers
- Must be able to lift and maneuver weights up to 50 pounds.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate by using the English Language.
- Ability to sit for long periods (3-4 hours at a time) and t he employee is regularly required to enter information into a computer.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds to support the weight of machine components and be able to reach into machinery for several hours at a time. Position involves bending, pulling, pushing, and twisting to complete machine maintenance tasks.
- Must feel comfortable with heights and climbing ladders.
- Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
