What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN (Public Health) position at Oswego County?
The Oswego County Health Department has immediate openings in the preventive health division for registered professional nurses to provide nursing care to at-risk pregnant women and children in their home, to perform assessments for the personal care assistance program and to work in prevention programs related to immunization, communicable disease, tuberculosis, and lead poisoning.
Qualifications: Possession of a current valid license and registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in NYS one (1) year of professional acute care nursing experience.
Multiple positions are available including permanent full-time, part-time, and Public Health Fellowship positions. Employees in the Public Health Fellowship program will earn a New York State Public Health Essentials certificate from Cornell University upon completion of the program.
Pay Rate: $28.34 per hour plus an excellent benefit package including health, life, dental and vision insurance, NYS retirement, and Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.
