Overview

This position will help shape Oticon Medical’s stand-alone financial infrastructure during and after the transition from Demant. The role requires a hands-on leader who can both architect a modern finance platform and manage day-to-day execution. The Director provides daily supervision to a team across multiple functions and works closely with regional and global partners. This position reports into the Global CFO with close collaboration with the General Manager North America.

The pay range for this position is expected to be between $180,000 to $190,000 per year; however, while the salary range is effective as of the date of this posting, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including but not limited to experience level, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as bonus, commissions, or discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Responsibilities
Financial Leadership and Governance
- Lead all regional finance operations for the Americas: month-end close, reporting, general ledger oversight, cash management, AR, AP, and credit.
- Develop a unified reporting framework that supports both regional needs and global consolidation.
- Maintain a strong internal control environment and ensure compliance with corporate policies, audit requirements, and local regulations.
- Own the annual budget cycle for the Americas and partner with global finance on multi-year planning.
- Lead rolling forecasts, scenario modelling, and variance analysis to support decision-making.
- Work with commercial, operations, and leadership teams to align financial plans with business objectives.
- Manage banking relationships and daily cash operations, including liquidity planning, cash forecasting, and intercompany settlements.
- Establish processes for treasury approvals, fund transfers, foreign currency considerations, and regional banking needs.
- Provide visibility into regional cash risk, working capital trends, and capital needs.
- Standardize processes across regions to improve accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency.
- Partner with global finance, IT, and business functions to design and implement new systems as Oticon Medical transitions off legacy platforms.
- Drive automation initiatives and implement KPIs for all major finance cycles.
- Oversee credit card programs, travel and expense processes, and regional insurance coordination.
- Serve as the primary finance partner to U.S., Canadian, and Latin American commercial teams.
- Coordinate with supply chain, customer service, and commercial leaders to improve billing, collections, inventory visibility, and revenue recognition accuracy.
- Work closely with global FP&A, Controlling, and Accounting teams to ensure consistency across markets.
- Lead or support integration efforts related to new corporate ownership, system migrations, and global transformation projects.

- Coach team members across regions to strengthen technical capabilities, business partnership skills, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Establish clear ownership, documented processes, and service standards across all finance operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; advanced degree or CPA strongly preferred.
- 10 years of progressive finance or accounting experience, including at least 5 years leading teams across multiple disciplines.
- Experience supporting multinational operations and working across time zones.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, forecasting, operational accounting, internal controls, and treasury.
- Demonstrated success in designing and improving finance processes, implementing systems, or rebuilding finance infrastructures.
- Ability to manage complexity, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-moving environment.
- High integrity, strong communication skills, and confidence working with executive leadership.
- Continuous improvement mindset and strong analytical problem-solving capabilities.
