What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Development position at Our Children Have Rights?
OCHR is looking for a highly motivated nonprofit development director to collaborate with senior leadership to implement a year-round and integrated fundraising strategy. The development director will oversee fundraising efforts and develop strategies to increase revenue through individual and corporate donations, grants, and sponsorships. The ideal candidate will have experience in nonprofit fundraising and a strong passion for positively impacting their community. They should possess excellent relationship-building skills and have a proven track record in developing, implementing, and executing successful fundraising strategies. OCHR
seeks someone skilled at advancing its mission and fostering genuine relationships rather than solely focusing on building transactional interactions.
OCHR is widely recognized statewide by childcare advocates and receives regular referrals to protect children's rights to healthy co-parenting. Numerous single parents credit OCHR for successful co-parenting and custody outcomes. Available research and data overwhelmingly demonstrate that children need both parents to be fully engaged in their upbringing and lives. Healthy co-parenting agreements can reduce the challenges children often face in single-parent households, such as lower grades and higher dropout rates.
As a web-based nonprofit, we offer a comprehensive range of services, including education, legal aid, and mental health support. Our aim is to safeguard children's rights to both parents, preventing social disruption and fostering holistic development. Through Greg's firsthand experiences and the collective struggles of many, OCHR understands the daunting task parents face in accessing resources and information. OCHR's centralized platform alleviates this burden, providing a one-stop hub for legal guidance, state laws, shared experiences, and more.
