What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher Aide/Assistant position at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic School?
Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic School is seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our school family as teacher aides/assistants in our Nursery, Pre-K, and Kindergarten classrooms. Knowledge of the Spanish language is a plus. The position is Monday through Friday from 10:30 - 5:30 pm.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing curriculum and daily activities for preschool-aged children.
- Help manage classroom behavior and promote a positive learning environment.
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities.
- Provide one-on-one support to students who require additional assistance.
- Assist with maintaining a safe and clean classroom environment.
- Monitor and document student progress and behavior.
Requirements:
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and students.
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine interest in working with young children.
- Ability to follow directions and implement curriculum under the guidance of the lead teacher.
- High school diploma or equivalent education required; additional early childhood education coursework is a plus.
