Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School is seeking a Part Time Certified Music Teacher for the 2022-2023 Academic school year. Applicants must hold or be eligible for a valid Florida Educators certification, be self-motivated and energetic. OLL is seeking applicants with knowledge of State Standards, technology integration, and standard-based instruction. Experience in evaluating, documenting, and communicating individual student growth, differentiation strategies, classroom management and willingness to participate in professional development opportunities, a plus. Applicants must be comfortable in a Catholic faith-based setting with a dedication to the OLL's mission.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Organize and direct lessons and activities related to the standards.
- Develop and document weekly lesson plans consistent with curriculum guidelines.
- Provide grade-appropriate instructional program of engaging and interactive activities/lessons for all grade levels (Prek-8th).
- Maintain high professional standards consistent with the mission of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School and the teachings of the Catholic Church.
- Be responsible for the safety and active supervision of students at all times and for classroom management.
- Assess and document student progress.
- Implement lesson plans, utilizing techniques to motivate, challenge and engage students.
- Interact effectively and respond to all parent communication in a professional, empathetic, and timely manner.
- Participate in faculty meetings, committees, and professional development opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers, staff, and administration.
- Integrate technology effectively into the classroom.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited College or University;
- Teaching experience preferred;
- Florida Educators certification;
- Requires an appreciation and respect for the Catholic Church and its teachings. Employees must
- conduct themselves in a manner that is consistent with and supportive of the mission and purpose of the church. Their public behavior must not violate the faith, morals or laws of the Church or the polices of the Diocese.
