Job Title: Pharmacy Technician
Location: York, ME 03909
Duration: 13 weeks contract
Shift Information: Variable shifts with rotating weekends; 7:00 am to 9:00 pm
JOB SUMMARY:
Seeking a Full-time, 40 hours per week, Inpatient Pharmacy IV Technician for a 13 week assignment with us . The schedule is varies from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm with rotating weekends. Sterile compounding is required. Must have Maine Pharmacy Technician license.

Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, this individual will demonstrate advanced technical skills related to unit dose drug distribution, sterile and non-sterile compounding and inventory control. This individual will be compliant with hospital policies and procedures, and be able to interpret and comply with state and Federal regulations. This individual will demonstrate integrity, dependability and the ability to “recognize each individual’s unique contributions to the York Hospital culture”. You will participate in all aspects of drug distribution that do not require the professional judgement of a pharmacist. All duties will be performed in accordance with the goals and objectives of pharmacy administration.
1. Performs independently with respect to all essential technician duties and responsibilities within the department
2. Maintains courteous and effective interactions with colleagues and patients
3. Appropriately utilizes Personal protective Equipment
4. Utilizes aseptic technique during all aspects of compounding process in a timely manner
5. Maintains strict adherence to USP 797 and 800 standards
6. Performs required calculations for drug dilutions and reconstitution
7. Utilizes closed system transfer devices (CSTD’s) during all hazardous medication preparation
