As a Desktop Support Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems. Duties:
- Provide technical support to end-users regarding computer hardware, software, and network-related issues
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and peripherals
- Troubleshoot hardware and software problems and perform repairs or replacements as necessary
- Set up and configure user accounts and email clients
- Assist with the installation and maintenance of software applications
- Perform system upgrades and updates as required
- Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex technical issues
- Document all support activities and maintain accurate records
- Provide training and guidance to end-users on the proper use of technology resources
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Desktop Support Technician or similar role
- Strong knowledge of help desk support procedures and techniques
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows operating systems (Windows 7, 8, 10)
- Familiarity with computer hardware components and peripherals
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies
- Experience with mobile devices (iOS, Android) is a plus
- Familiarity with SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) is preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
