We are hiring for a Make Ready and Maintenance Technician Helper to assist in the preservation, upkeep, maintenance, and functionality of properties. You will perform and assist in maintenance tasks of great variety such as painting, sheetrock repair / refinishing, light carpentry, minor electrical, fence repairs, and Make Readies. A Make Ready and Maintenance Technician Helper is a professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously, and with other team members, responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain properties and perform basic tasks associated with rental property upkeep and improvements.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light switches, receptacles, bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.)
- Maintain plumbing systems to ensure functionality
- Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows, doors, etc.)
- Conduct general upkeep procedures and other tasks as assigned (painting, sheetrocking, texture, carpentry etc.)
- Perform painting and other tasks associated with Make Readies
Skills
- Some experience as maintenance technician
- Basic understanding of electrical and plumbing systems
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
- Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime
- High school diploma or equivalent, building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
