Asphalt Distributor Driver
The Asphalt Distributor Operator's primary function is to operate the asphalt distributor truck applying liquid asphalt prior to an area being paved. The operator must perform daily maintenance checks and report any mechanical or safety issues to a supervisor. In addition, the operator may be required to perform minor repairs to the equipment and is expected to assist in the general operation of teach job site. The position consists of but is not limited to the following duties:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. It is suggested that the employee is previously conditioned to experience long amounts of time outside in the physical elements, such as heat, sun, wind, rain, etc. The employee will occasionally be exposed to dust and loud noises.

- Asphalt Distributor Truck, experience is preferred
- Filling asphalt and burner fuel tanks
- Setting spray bars
- Spraying joints and other surfaces
- Cleaning excess asphalt out of tanks, and from spray bars.
- Driving company vehicles
- Set up and maintenance of all traffic control aids

Operating rollers, trucks, power broom, tamps, and skid steer loaders, and any other equipment the employee can operate
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Verifying material weight
- Driving to various destinations
- Performing regular maintenance on the truck
- Maintaining records and shipping documents
- Make sure materials are loaded and secured correctly
- Follow the road’s safety regulations at all times
- Report any accidents, injuries, or mechanical failures to management
- Following company safety rules and policies
- Follow ODOT/TXDOT Regulations
- Pre and post trip inspection
