Key Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy-duty trucks to transport steel materials, including coils, beams, sheets, and scrap.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, cranes, or other equipment as needed.
- Inspect vehicles before and after trips to ensure mechanical soundness and report any issues.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, trip reports, and other required documentation.
- Follow designated routes and schedules while complying with traffic laws and company policies.
- Communicate with dispatchers and plant personnel regarding delivery status and any delays.
- Ensure cargo is properly secured to prevent damage or accidents during transit.
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance and assist with repairs when necessary.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of PPE and safe driving practices.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements (e.g., Class A).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience driving heavy trucks, preferably in an industrial or steel environment.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Ability to operate forklifts, cranes, or other loading equipment is a plus.

- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, heavy machinery, and steel materials.
