Insurance Specialist:
Ozark Physical Therapy Specialists has an immediate need for an experienced Medical Office Team Member with experience with Medical Coding and Billing who is familiar with insurance companies, Medicare and Medicaid. Completion of an accredited Medical Coding Program and Billing Certification is preferred. Previous experience working in a medical office is required. This position involves submitting claims, entering appropriate billing information into EMR as well as scheduling patients for appointments and interacting with patients on a daily basis. We offer a close knit team in our clinic with a family atmosphere in which we all work together to provide excellent care to our patients and have a solutions oriented approach to any issues that may arise. We are seeking a candidate with this same mentality to complete our team of professionals.
Job position requirements:
*Effectively and compassionately communicate with patients regarding any issues related to their therapy which includes their schedule, insurance coverage, fees for service, and/or their bill.
*Submit and Obtain authorization for coverage of therapy services and submit reimbursement requests to Medicare and Medicaid and other insurances.
*Process insurance claims for private and employer insurance reimbursement
*Work with patients to develop self-pay arrangements and payment plans
*Enter charges accurately and efficiently to ensure proper records handling and fast payment responses
*Process and follow up on payer denials, consulting with the patient and/or his or her family as needed
*Post payments in a timely manner
*Research and resolve client billing problems or issues
*Document payment records and issues as they occur
*Assist with other office needs as they arise
Salary: Negotiable pending years of relevant experience.
Experience:
- General Experience as Medical Receptionist: 1 year (Required)
- CPC or COC preferred
- CMBS preferred
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
- Must be able to speak, write and understand English very well
- Certification as a Professional Coder/Biller or in process (preferred)
- Clerical Education a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.50 per hour
Expected hours: 34 – 40 per week
