CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant (Swing Bed)

Job Summary: The CNA provides assistance to licensed nursing personnel in the provision of patient care by providing and documenting activities of daily living, including personal hygiene and grooming, and providing a clean, healthy and safe environment. Utilizes basic infection control procedures, basic nutrition and fluid intake skills. Recognizes emergency situations and responds. Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of certified nursing assistant program or has a significant amount of nursing assistant experience in the hospital setting, preferred.
• Minimum of six months to one year of related work experience, preferred.
• Current BLS certification upon hire or BLS certification must be obtained during orientation period or at next available scheduled class. Throughout employment, current BLS certification must be maintained by renewal during renewal period or at next available scheduled class.
