Salary: $81,120 - $112,320
Level: Entry
P2S has an excellent opportunity for a talented Plumbing Design Engineer to support our Plumbing studio in our Long Beach office. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience designing Plumbing systems for new and existing buildings.
General Responsibilities
Pre-Design Engineering
- Review existing as-built drawings.
- Perform field investigations.
- Set up drawings and models for multiple disciplines.
- Collaborate with team members regarding design coordination, schedules, and deliverables.
- Perform feasibility studies.
- Prepare schematic designs.
Design Complexity
- Performs routine engineering work applying standard techniques. Performs basic engineering calculations.
- Prepares construction estimates and specifications for small size projects.
- Can independently create small reports.
Construction Administration
Review submittals
Position Requirements
- Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or similar preferred
Working Knowledge
- California Plumbing Code
- National Plumbing Code
- California Energy Code
- HCAi codes and standards (preferred)
- NFPA-99
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Bluebeam
- Revit
- AutoCAD a plus
