What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Services at PACE position at Pace@Home?
This position is full time 8:00-4:30 Monday-Friday.
Environmental Services is to provide routine housekeeping work for PACE@Home to maintain the utmost standard in cleanliness.
Environmental Services essential duties and responsibilities:
- Collects trash, empty’s garbage containers and remove trash to disposal area. Sanitizes trash containers as necessary.
- Sweeps, mops, dusts, polishes, vacuums rug and carpets, cleans restrooms, patient rooms, public areas, offices, washes windows, walls and other assigned areas.
- Cleans drinking fountains, sinks, sand urns, and blinds.
- Washes windows on an as needed basis.
- Reports repairs needed to supervisor and Maintenance including broken or cracked windowpanes, leaky faucets, toilets, loose tiles, broken blinds and damaged furniture.
- Follows universal precautions, blood borne pathogen procedures and uses personal protective equipment as needed while cleaning patient areas.
- Ensures janitorial supplies, materials and equipment are replenished and available in work areas.
