Company Overview: Pace Inc, an outdoor power equipment distributor based out of Plymouth, Michigan is looking for a full time shipping and receiving warehouse associate for our Plymouth location. This position receives, stores, distributes, and ships materials, tools, equipment, and products within the warehouse, while ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.
Essential Functions
- Assists shipping and receiving with unloading trucks using a lift truck or pallet jack, when checking in merchandise.
- Uses all available IT equipment and software, to include the computer and RF scanner, to receive, locate, pick, and ship parts or equipment and reports any shortages or damages to supervisor.
- Reads customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed and/or shipped.
- Counts, sorts, and places materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, part number, or product code and repacks items when needed.
- Marks materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
- Opens bales, crates and other containers.
- Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed via the appropriate computer program.
- Counts physical inventory as directed by supervisor.
- Maintains interior and exterior facilities as needed to include, but not limited to, sweeping, dusting, mopping, painting, mowing and organization of warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
- Prepares parcels for mailing and shipping.
- Ensures warehouse is accessible and safe for salespeople and customer traffic.
- Wears the proper safety equipment to include lifting belts and gloves.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
- Competencies and Skills: Communication Proficiency, organizational skills, technical capacity, thoroughness, attention to detail, and time management.
- Required Education and Experience: High School Diploma, or GED equivalent
- Preferred Education and experience: Minimum of one year prior warehouse clerk experience
This position requires standing and repetitive lifting up to 70 lbs. We are looking for full time help from 8:30 am-5:00 pm Monday through Friday.
