Must be able and willing to fill in and support any and all other class operations when a demand is needed. Must have the willingness to learn new operations as needed. Employees are required to perform maintenance, rebuild, and repair work on all equipment in the facility to support production needs. Maintenance mechanic who displays very high skill levels in electronics and hydraulic systems. Duties and Responsibilities This job includes but is not limited to the following: Self-starter, take initiative without direction. Dedicated to Department/Company Objectives. Be able to arc and MIG weld as required. Capable of troubleshooting, repairing, PLC hardware for die Cast and other plant equipment. Must be able to read electrical schematics and ladder logic! Troubleshoot electrical control circuits and repair and maintain all electrical systems in the facility. Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all hydraulic systems. Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all pneumatic systems. Repair gas fired and electrical furnaces. Repair transformers, buss bars, water tower and pumps, compressors Repair of water cooling system and plant air system. Repair/Rebuild all parts of a Die Cast Machines, gear reduction units, and forklifts. Obtain complete set of tools per tool list supplies. Complete Lock/Out Tag/Out training. Complete Forklift training and operate forklift in safe manner. Must be able to perform moderately heavy lifting. Capable and willing to work overtime. Good attendance record is required. Work in a safe manner, so not to endanger self or co-workers. Report unsafe conditions. Wear required personal protective equipment. Participate in training to upgrade skills as necessary, to move forward with changing technology. Perform other associated duties, functions or work as may be needed or assigned to continue the productive operation of the company. Must follow all safety rules and policies as set forth by OSHA guidelines and Pace Industries policies and procedures as outlined in the employee manual. Keep work area clean and orderly. Must be willing to keep pace with changing technology. Vocational/Technical Training is desired MUST BE WILLING TO BE TRAINED. Test Required. Position Requirements Must be able to read and understand written directives. The predominate form of instructions are written, visual and verbal. Must have a complete understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics, PLC’s electrical and electronic systems. Ability to read and interpret Blueprints and Schematics. Forklift certification required. Must have some means of communication for callouts. Able to fill in for the maintenance foreman in his absence. Able to lift 50 pounds.
