The Reefer Technician position supports the Mechanic Foreman and may straddle the comprehensive side of product repair knowledge and the practical side of customer service. We are looking for energized personalities with outstanding technical skills who are customer focused. Our success depends on building teams who can challenge each other's assumptions with fresh perspectives. With continuous expansion nationwide, we are looking for a savvy Mechanic professional who can hit the ground running and help our forward momentum continue!
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Perform timely repairs and preventative maintenance on medium duty fleet vehicles
- Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare required safety documentation
- Inspect and perform work on the under parts of vehicles
- Remove or install various parts on vehicles
- Interact with clients through both email or phone, as necessary
- Prepare vehicle records and reports manually and electronically
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience with Reefer units (Thermo King and/or Carrier)
- 607 and 608 Certifications required, or ability to obtain
- Experience with PMs and A/C
- Valid Class C Driver’s License, required
- Must provide own hand tools/toolbox
- Proficient computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite products (specially MS Excel) and Fleet Management Systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift/carry 25lbs frequently.
- Must be able to lift/carry 50lbs occasionally.
- Must be able to lift/carry 100lbs during team lifts infrequently.
