About Neurodevelopmental Services

Neurodevelopmental Services (NDS) provides essential support for children and adolescents diagnosed with autism and related neurodevelopmental conditions such as ADHD, sensory processing and behavior difficulties, language and social communication challenges, learning disabilities, trauma, and other cognitive and developmental impairments. Pacific Clinic’s new Neurodevelopmental Center located at 1302 N. 4th Street in San Jose aims to ensure children and teens have access to comprehensive neurodevelopmental evaluations to receive accurate diagnosis, as well as provide a unique and exceptional learning environment for treatment that focuses on social developmental and behavioral skill acquisition through a variety of therapeutic group experiences.

Our group service-delivery model at our center includes:

  • Parent Training Groups
  • Social Skills groups (ages 18 months – 21 years of age)

Our interdisciplinary team consists of speech and occupational therapists, psychologists, psychological associates, pre-doctoral psychology trainees, board certified behavior analysts, and registered behavior technicians. We work together to ensure children and teens receive expert diagnostic evaluations and a smooth transition to therapeutic services if diagnosed with a neurodevelopmental condition.

Compensation We Offer

  •  The initial compensation for this position ranges from $77,142.87-$ $92,112.62 /Annually.
  •  Salary is dependent on commensurate experience above the minimum qualifications for the role and internal equity considerations.
  •  The salary may also vary if you reside in a different location than the location posted. 
  •  8% License Differential for LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, PsyD. and select Peer Certifications.
  •  7.5% Bilingual Differential for qualified positions
  • $2,500 hiring incentive payout after 30 days and 6 months!

    JOB SUMMARY

    Works within the agency and program’s vision, mission and philosophy, and policies in partnership with the Program Manager. Responsible for providing clinical supervision and training for behavior technicians to meet performance goals, treatment fidelity, and outcomes across all services. Responsible for developing and training behavior therapists and leading the clinical team in implementing behavioral and developmental treatments for individuals with developmental and behavioral health challenges. Responsible for providing caregiver training, field training/shadowing coaching for Behavior Technicians, completing skills assessments (ESDM, ABLLS, BDI, Functional Behavior Assessments, etc.), developing goals, writing assessment and progress reports, attending clinical meetings when needed, and ensuring that clients receive high quality culturally and developmentally appropriate services.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

    Clinical:

    1. Provide field/clinic overlaps, face-to-face high-level supervision, and clinical training per payor and BACB requirements for Registered Behavior Technicians.
    2. In collaboration with the clinical team, conduct comprehensive assessments using appropriate assessment tools dependent upon the referral and individual need. Report results to clinical team members.
    3. In collaboration with the clinical team, design and submit comprehensive treatment plans (e.g., skill acquisition plans, and Behavior Intervention Plans) for clients that are culturally relevant, family-focused, and socially significant, that are in compliance with agency and payor timelines.
    4. Provide direct intervention and necessary coverage for Behavior Technicians when necessary to ensure consistency in care.
    5. Design and implement individual and group caregiver training and consultation programs. Conduct and/or participate in progress meetings with client treatment teams (e.g., caregivers, school staff) as required by payors.
    6. Gather, compile, analyze and integrate the use of outcome data to improve clinical service delivery within assigned team using internal software systems (e.g., Catalyst).
    7. Ensure effective coordination of services for youth and families with other providers, both internal and external, by supporting the development of constructive relationships and problem-solving barriers.

    Administrative:

    1. Complete required documentation and fidelity for behavior technicians.
    2. Maintain schedule for client caseload and BTs; ensure compliance with treatment plan recommendation for weekly/monthly service hours.
    3. Ensure clinical documentation and quality assurance meets both agency and payor standards, ensuring audit ready charts and continuous quality improvement.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

    • Licensure in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, or other related service delivery field approved by payor; OR Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certificate required
    • Minimum of two years of clinical experience
    • Demonstrated ability to speak with persons of various social, cultural, economic and educational backgrounds
    • Demonstrated ability to assess individuals with behavioral health challenges and develop a comprehensive program based on the individual’s need
    • Demonstrated ability to clearly write and speech effectively to an audience appropriately
    • Demonstrated ability to clearly and objectively write and speak using behavior analytic language

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bilingual

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

    Must remain physically fit enough to keep clients self-safe.  While performing these duties the employee is required to perform the following physical tasks when the need arises:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell.  This also includes the ability to: 

    • Move quickly/run 

    If employed at a Neurodevelopment Services location, employee is required to perform and pass a Human Performance Evaluation Test at a designated company clinic. This will include testing for: lifting, pushing/pulling, repetitive coupling, static weight, and other required movements. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. 

    Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

    Requires physical.

    Current First Aid/CPR Certification.

    TRAINING

    Needs to successfully complete all required agency training indicated for this position.
