Driver
Position Summary :
Drive a bus, minibus, or van to transport residents to and from scheduled group activities and individual resident appointments.
Qualifications :
Read, write, speak, and understand the English language
Must possess class C driver's license and have a clean driving record.
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Prefer prior experience working with seniors and successful operation of van / bus / company vehicles
Responsibilities :
Drive vehicle to designated locations
Assist residents in and out of the vehicle and provide escort as needed
Secure passengers' wheelchairs, walkers and other equipment to restraining devices to stabilize equipment during trip
Sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours
Provide friendly, courteous and efficient service to residents
Operate company vehicle / van safely following all laws and complying with all standards and policies for vehicle / van inspection and driving
Maintains vehicle logs of all repairs and services, ensuring they are in safe driving condition
