Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Supervisor to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management and be proficient in various construction management software tools. This role requires effective leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while ensuring safety and quality standards are met on-site. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in one or more construction skills. This should also be considered a growth position, as well.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of construction crews to ensure project timelines are met.
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore and Primavera P6 for project scheduling and tracking progress.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and contracts to guide project execution.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of workmanship are maintained.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with project managers on budgeting, estimating, and resource allocation for projects.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of safety and efficiency.
- Manage subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.
- Prepare reports on project status, including any issues or delays that may arise.
Skills
- Proficient in construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera, HeavyBid, and Primavera P6.
- Strong understanding of construction management principles, project scheduling, budgeting, and estimating.
- Extensive experience in the construction industry with a focus on commercial and industrial projects preferred.
- Knowledgeable in OSHA regulations and safety practices within a construction environment.
- Excellent blueprint reading skills coupled with the ability to interpret technical documents accurately.
- Strong leadership abilities with prior supervising experience in managing teams effectively.
- Familiarity with quality control processes and techniques for ensuring high-quality outcomes on projects.
- ·Construction Management Association of America Certification and/or American Institute of Constructors Certification a plus
- Ability to guide project components using safety and quality as your primary goals.
