What are the responsibilities and job description for the Law Clerk/Paralegal/Legal Assistant (Mandarin Speaking) position at Pacific Coast Trial Law Firm, APC?
A prestigious personal injury law firm in Los Angeles is hiring a full-time paralegal/legal assistant.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, proactive, extremely organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Candidate will be responsible for routine administrative functions and all aspects of litigation including:
- New client intake
- Handling incoming calls
- Calendaring depositions, hearing dates and all deadlines (pleadings, motions, discovery, etc.)
- Preparing and organizing documents
- Managing and responding to discovery
- Assisting with trial preparation.
- Drafting/filing complaints
- Drafting demand letters
- Noticing and objecting to depositions
- Scheduling court reporters, and requesting transcripts
- Making record requests, follow-up, and summarizing medical records
- Case file management
- Prepare and file documents in CA State Courts
Bilingual in English/Mandarin (or Cantonese) is preferred but not a must.
No experience required. We’ll train the right person.
