Capital Project Manager

Job Description

Pacific International has been retained by a Fortune 500 organization, currently going through a large scale transformation. As part of this transformation, they are building out a more robust engineering function. With an investment in their engineering team as well as one of their key manufacturing sites, they are looking to bring in a Capital Projects Manager to drive their capital projects forward.

As the Capital Projects Manager, you will bring a strong engineering foundation and a proven ability to lead capital projects in complex manufacturing environments. Combining hands-on project execution with leadership of a small team of project engineers. The ideal candidate combines technical depth, project execution discipline, and hands-on leadership experience.

Your Essential Functions

• Lead and manage a team of engineers, providing technical support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Track project progress, analyze productivity, and prepare status reports for stakeholders, making adjustments as necessary to meet objectives.
• Act as a liaison between design and implementation teams, coordinating efforts among various stakeholders, including contractors, architects, and engineers.
• Regularly update stakeholders on project progress, challenges, and changes in scope through reports and presentations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related field)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project engineering or a related field and 3 years of managerial experience in engineering projects is expected, with a proven track record of leading large-scale projects.
• Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD, Finario) and a strong understanding of engineering principles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly.
• Strong leadership and team collaboration skills, with the ability to delegate tasks effectively.
