Job Description:

We’re actively seeking a talented Financial Reporting Manager to join our Financial Reporting and Analysis team in our Newport Beach , CA office (hybrid work schedule).

How you will make an impact:
As an individual contributor, you will be responsible for the coordination and preparation of quarterly and year-end U.S. GAAP financial statements for Pacific Life and its various subsidiaries

Provid e guidance to stakeholders with respect to technical accounting support (GAAP) and coordinate appropriate document ation with respect to new accounting and/or reporting requirements

Prepare and analyze financial statements and schedules, which would include researching and resolving inconsistencies by conducting initial investigation

Analysis and appropriate application of disclosure requirements based on the relevant disclosure checklists

Understanding of financial results through preparation of the financial statement analytics packages

Assist in the quarterly planning meetings with various business stakeholders

Assist in the performance of relevant internal controls related to the financial reporting process

Serve as a subject matter expert on U.S. GAAP requirements for the preparation of various financial statements

Assist in the implementation of reporting system enhancements, including automation efforts in the financial reporting process

Coordinate with accounting and finance teams, and external auditors regarding required financial reporting related deliverables

Communicate with management and various stakeholders on financial reporting impacts

The experience you will bring:
8 years of experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Public accounting experience and CPA license are preferred
Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP financial reporting requirements
Strong technical, analytical , and problem-solving skills
Experience with debt offerings, IPO’s and/or special transaction is a plus

Base Pay Range:
The base pay range noted provides a basis to determine the appropriate offer dependent upon several factors including but not limited to geographic location, experience, skills, education and pay equity. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
$125,400.00 - $156,700.00 - $211,600.00
