Job Description:

We're actively seeking a talented Sales Advocate to join the M Sales & Marketing Team in Newport Beach, CA. This role can be on-site, or hybrid.
As a Sr Sales Advocate, you will provide internal and external expertise throughout the life insurance underwriting and new business lifecycle which produces an increase in sales.
How you will make an impact:
- Proactively manage and resolve life insurance submissions from initial submission through paying the case.
- Maintain or exceed established conversion and placement metrics.
- Prepare and participate in weekly M territory sales meetings.
- Set proper expectations with financial professionals and their teams.
- Advocate and negotiate offers with M Underwriters on behalf of financial professionals by using consultative and listening skills to direct sales.
- Manage escalations to steer underwriters to important cases that require prioritization (relooks, rushes, sensitive cases, and SLA's).
- Proactively build and strengthen relationships with financial professionals and their staff to influence decisions that will increase sales.
- Works with financial professionals and sales team to develop an understanding for the purpose of the sale, and position against competition.
- Work with M Team to meet/exceed territory and M Team goals.
- Prepare and complete webinars on various topics (application end-to-end process, Pacific Life underwriting methods, Planned Performance Tracking and Lifeline).
- Provide concierge service and training to internal and external partners (M Team, Financial Professionals, and their staff).
- Identify and recommend process improvements.
- Work closely with internal and external sales teams to increase sales.
- Proactively call 2 M Firms daily.
- Provide forms and packages, as requested.
- Resource for product questions, as needed.
- Generate and customize Salesforce reports.
- Update Salesforce with current underwriting offers and case notes.
- Generate status reports for management, financial professionals and others as needed.
The experience you will bring:
- Strong knowledge of insurance underwriting, new business, and products, gained through 5 years' experience in the insurance industry.
- Works independently, minimal guidance.
- Exceptional internal and external communicator (verbal and written).
- Strong organization skills and detail oriented.
- Manages time to focus on sales activities.
- Ability to manage complex situations.
- Experience with presentations in person, on ZOOM or other platforms (minimum 5 years)
- Self-motivated, competitive, but also a team player.
- Good problem-solving skills and a high level of integrity.

- NASD registration, Series 6 and 63 licenses preferred.

Base Pay Range:
The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
