We are seeking a versatile and detail-oriented Medical Assistant with Front Office Experience to join our growing team. This role is ideal for candidates who excel in a fast-paced environment, have strong administrative and customer service skills, and are passionate about patient care.
This position is based in the Los Angeles area and will require travel to other clinic locations a couple of days each week.
Job Description:
The Medical Assistant at Pacific Pain & Regenerative Medicine plays a dual role, supporting both clinical and administrative operations to ensure efficient patient care and office workflow. Responsibilities include preparing patient records and exam rooms, taking vital signs, assisting with procedures, administering injections, and handling specimens. Front office and administrative duties include managing patient intake, verifying insurance and ID, ensuring necessary forms are completed, scheduling appointments, maintaining accurate electronic health records, and sending reports to attorneys or other relevant parties. The role also involves maintaining compliance with safety protocols, assisting with telehealth visits, and staying updated through ongoing training. This position is vital in delivering high-quality care and ensuring smooth practice operations.

Additional responsibilities include:
- Performing basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing examination rooms, and assisting with minor procedures.
- Managing front desk responsibilities, including scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, addressing insurance inquiries, and collecting payments.
- Utilizing JotForm and other online tools for patient intake.
- Providing exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries promptly, professionally, and compassionately.
- Using bilingual skills to communicate with Spanish-speaking patients and assist with translation as needed.
- Collaborating with medical and administrative staff to ensure efficient office operations.
- Adhering to HIPAA guidelines and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
- Traveling between clinic sites as needed (approximately two days per week).
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is a plus.
- CPR certified (required or willing to obtain).
- Previous experience working in a pain management or specialty medical office is a plus.
- Experience in both clinical support and front office administrative duties.
- Proficiency in Spanish (written and verbal) is essential.
- Strong computer skills, including familiarity with EMR systems, Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail), and JotForm.
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
- Outstanding customer service skills with a patient-first attitude.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail.
- HIPAA certification (training and certification will be provided if not already obtained).
- Pre-med students or aspiring NPs and PAs are encouraged to apply.
