The Strategic Sourcing Leader will have direct responsibility for supplier relationship management, will execute strategies and provide overall coordination, facilitation and enablement of programs that will drive best practice. This role will work closely with the Director of Strategic Sourcing and category leaders in deployment of their strategies within our businesses
This position will drive key supplier management for key commodity categories, cost savings improvements, and strategy for a multi-million dollar spend. This person will support strategic alliances, negotiations and gather and provide intelligence on cost structures and cost improvement opportunities. Create cost savings projects and execute them in a cross-functional and international environment. Be responsible for strong savings funnel building in order to be able to protect and extend margin. She/he will have a large impact on Fortive/ASP profitability and working capital improvements and will interface with both internal and external employees at all levels.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and achieve improvement in operational and procurement metrics such as: savings (PPV, VAVE, OMX), delivery (OTD & Past due), quality (DPPM), lead-time, DPO, innovation, and compliance and audit needs in a highly regulated environment.
- Work together with engineering, project management, manufacturing, quality, planning, marketing, regulatory affairs, and suppliers to identify and drive total cost savings, security of supply, innovation, and process improvement
- Support negotiations, and contracting efforts with major accounts in strategic procurement, ensuring that agreements reflect Ralliant needs globally.
- Support year-on-year financial accountability for supplier relationships with respect to price targets, cost reductions, and other financial metrics.
- Executing, support developing and maintaining risk mitigation plans inclusive of compliance for designated suppliers within assigned categories with businesses or functions.
- Execute early engagement and collaboration with engineers to understand technical needs, contribute to roadmap creation, and enable alignment of requirements with supplier capabilities.
- Help to drive the sourcing and supplier selection process to support Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations' goals and objectives.
- Assess market conditions, identify the best industry practices, and emerging trends to identify new cost reduction and value creation opportunities.
- Support Planning in communication of the demand forecast as necessary to ensure supply continuity, and capacity availability.
Qualifications:
- Preferably 3 years’ experience in the aerospace and defense sector
- 5 years of experience in global and complex manufacturing procurement or supply chain management.
- BA/BS Degree. Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering is preferred.
- Effective management of the strategic sorucing process; RFP/RFQ, supplier selection, project execution, cost and timing management, and project close activities.
- Excellent project management and cross-functional team leadership skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at any level, as this role will be the key interface with critical supplier executives.
- Strong analytical, research, and negotiation skills.
- Strong ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines; able to balance short-term, urgent needs with long-term strategic initiatives.
- Ability to work in multi-disciplinary global teams.
- Negotiation and contract management experience.
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $140,000.00 - $155,000.00 per year
