What are the responsibilities and job description for the VISALIA Material Handler 2nd Shift position at Pacific Southwest Container, LLC?
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF JOB: To be responsible for servicing the material requirements of the plant's machine operations. Job requires ability to work ahead of each machine's demand so that stock is always available. The material handler is also responsible for pallet supply and miscellaneous factory supplies. The individual will be asked to assist other material handlers from time to time (i.e. shipper, receiver, etc.). Must maintain lift and perform T.P.M. by the guidelines in the Procedure Manual.
SPECIAL EDUCATION SKILLS, TRAINING OR QUALIFICATIONS THAT ARE REQUIRED FOR THIS JOB: Bidder must be able to demonstrate the necessary lift truck driving skills to handle the job requirements before being named as an authorized driver. The successful bidder must be able to handle loads quickly and safely. Must have valid forklift license. Must be able to read data from paperwork and accurately transfer to computerized system. Demonstration of keyboarding skills will be required and administered.
Must have the ability to read, write and speak English.
TRIAL PERIOD REQUIRED: 90 Days
